Marketing Executive

We are looking for a creative and proactive Marketing & Administration Coordinatorto help drive marketing campaigns, grow brand awareness, and secure new school and nursery photography bookings.

While the role offers flexibility, we require reliability and a commitment to deadlines. Once an assignment is accepted, it must be completed and uploaded to our system within a reasonable timeframe.

Key Requirements:

    • Create and manage marketing campaigns for both brands
    • Design marketing materials using Canva or similar design platforms
    • Develop promotional campaigns targeting schools, nurseries, and parent communities
    • Manage and grow social media channels (Facebook, Instagram etc.)
    • Create engaging posts, graphics, and promotional content
    • Suggest and implement new marketing ideas to grow bookings
    • Track campaign performance and adjust strategies where needed
    • Pay:

  • Payroll will be based off skills, experience and availability around the role.

Application Review

  • Submit your CV and portfolio for assessment. We will evaluate your experience and suitability for the role.

Stage 1 – Interview (telephone)

  • You will be invited to a telephone interview where will discuss your experience and skills and go through what the job role entails.

Stage 2 – Interview (in person)

  • A discussion of the role, expectations, marketing strategies, pay expectations

Stage 3 – Timed Editing Task

  • Stage 3 Task: Flyer Design & Email Submission

    As part of the next stage in our process, we’d like you to complete a creative task that reflects both your design ability and communication style.

    The Brief
    Design an A5, double-sided flyer that can be emailed to schools. The purpose of the flyer is to inform schools that we will be attending The Crafters Roadshow on 9th–10th May 2026 and that we are available at the Metrocentre for schools who may wish to meet us and learn more about the services we offer.

    You are free to include as much or as little information as you feel is appropriate, along with any imagery or design elements that best represent your creative approach.

    Email Submission
    Once complete, please send your flyer via email to info@cottonsocksphotography.co.uk as if you were sending it as part of a real email campaign to a school.

    We will be reviewing not only your design work, but also:

    • How you structure and word your email
    • Your tone and professionalism
    • Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively

    Important Notes
    This is a timed task designed to assess your ability to balance creativity, quality, and efficiency. However, we value quality over speed.

    Please ensure that what you submit is a final draft. We are looking for work that is polished and ready to send, rather than something that would require further revisions or tweaks.
